We hear there were over 1,200 adults plus hundreds of children there - and LOTS of them came along to have a climb, buy a burger/hot dog and/or a drink and find out about what we all get up to at the Scout Group.

Chief Scout in the makingThe School Autumn Term is about to start for lots of our girls and boys in the next week or two and your Beaver, Cub and Scout Leaders will have been in touch about when exactly your child's Section starts back in September! The teams of adult volunteer leaders have been busy planning and plotting and we know there are a huge amount of exciting, fun and challenging adventures and activities in store for the coming months.

Good luck to everyone starting or moving up in Scouts, starting new schools, new classes, new year groups, colleges, universities, jobs, volunteer roles etc. etc.

Look at the Beavers Carrots!
Monday, 25 August 2014 12:23

photo 1After the Village Festival BBQ the Beaver Leaders thought they'd better pick some carrots as the Beavers' carrot patch was overflowing and getting a bit cramped! The GSL (Group Scout Leader) was the first to sample one and he was VERY impressed! They also picked another wonderful bunch of beans!

photo 2The Beavers are in for a big surprise when they start back next week and see the mini allotment.
