We offer an exciting programme of Scouting activities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old.

Young people can join the adventure in one of our five sections:

We currently have around 150 young members from Stanstead Abbotts, Stanstead St. Margaret's, Great Amwell, Hoddesdon, Hertford Heath, Roydon and Ware.

With over 30 enthusiastic adult volunteers, we are an active and successful Scout Group always looking for new members, both young people and adults.

Forest Beavers Twilight visit to Rye Meads

1st Stanstead Abbotts St Margarets Scout Group at St Andrews Church Stanstead Abbotts on Remembrance SundayGroup Scout Leader Paul Stretch and many members of the public were delighted to see 125 well-behaved and smartly turned out Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Young Leaders from the Scout Group at the Remembrance Sunday Service and Act of Remembrance at St Andrew's Church, Stanstead Abbotts, as well as a strong turnout from all their adult volunteers and some of the team from Ware & District Scouts.

Village Poppy Appeal raises £8,113.19

Poppy Appeal Total 2016 smallerWe were delighted to hear that the village's Poppy Appeal managed to raise a fantastic £8,113.19 this year and the organisers were very keen to thank everyone who helped box them up, deliver and collect them back again and, of course, to everyone who bought and wore a Poppy. Scouts @ Herts Scouts Green Beret Competition

wallCongratulations to our 4 teams of Scouts who took part this year’s Hertfordshire Scouts Green Beret Competition. An action packed weekend of camping, orienteering, assault courses and around 99 day and night activity bases over at Lees Wood Scout Camp - along with about 700 other Hertfordshire Scouts and some pretty challenging weather too.

Forest Beavers learning about Additional Needs

IMG 6832Following on from a recent visit by a Guide Dog for the Blind and her owner, our Forest Beavers continued learning about people with additional needs.

With the help of their Young Leaders they learned how to use a wheelchair safely and tried out a wheelchair assault course involving a child in a wheelchair carrying out tasks on the way making them realise how being wheelchair bound can make doing certain things hard.

Scouts Parliament Visit
