Scout Wobbleboarding

We offer an exciting programme of Scouting activities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old.

Young people can join the adventure in one of our five sections:

We currently have around 150 young members from Stanstead Abbotts, Stanstead St. Margaret's, Great Amwell, Hoddesdon, Hertford Heath, Roydon and Ware.

With over 30 enthusiastic adult volunteers, we are an active and successful Scout Group always looking for new members, both young people and adults.

Cubs Fun Run

Photo39 copyGirls and boys from both our Jaguar and Panther Cub Packs had a great time running in the 2 km cross country Ware & District Cubs Fun Run on a beautifully sunny June evening, with Panther Pack coming in 3rd place and Jaguar Pack 7th out of the 12 Packs taking part.

Jaguar Pack learn to Sign in Makaton

The girls and boys had lots of fun working together in small groups out on the field and playing a few Makaton games too. Lashings of fun at Panther Pack

Photo7 copy copy copyOur Panther Cubs proved they'd got to grips with Clove Hitches and Square Lashings this week by making "chariots" to carry each other on - and then had lots of fun team chariot races across the Hall.  More photos HERE

Open Evening, AGM, Awards and BBQ

Photo7 copy copy copy copyWith around 200 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders, Parents, families, volunteers and members of our local community and local Scouting community all packed into HQ, it was standing room only once again for this year's Open Evening, AGM and many presentations and awards, and then a great BBQ and Camp-fire in the field.

Forest Beavers Paint the Seasons

The girls and boys also spent some time looking after the Garden and plants at HQ, tidying up and revamping with some new bark all ready for all the parents to see on Friday! More photos HERE

There's a fantastic programme of fun, adventurous and very interesting activities for our girls and boys all lined up - but we just need the correct adult : child ratios to be able to run the evenings!

No previous Scouting experience required - Men & Women - incl Students - All welcomed!
