2 New Forest Beavers Climb to be Invested
Wednesday, 08 May 2013 11:17

Two new Beavers were invested into the Forest Beaver Colony last week during a 'Quest' outing around the Village.  Climbing to the top of the Village Playground's Climbing Frame the two Beavers made their Beaver Scout Promises whilst holding onto the Colony's Flag (and the climbing frame we hope).  After saluting their new fellow Beavers they climbed back down to join all the other boys and girls in the Colony.  See Gallery for a great photo.

Fire lighting, Tracking and Navigating are just some of the skills our Jaguar Pack Cubs have been learning over the last few weeks.  Of course with every fire, everyone knows that you just have to cook something on them and our luck Jaguar Cubs loved cooking bananas filled with chocolate buttons on their open fire.  While they were cooking the cubs learnt about the different types of firewood and had to go and find some.  The Cubs also had great fun learning some Tracking skills and how to place and read signals left by the careful placement of small sticks on the ground - for more on this please ask your Cub Scout
