The Scouts took a trip to London the day before Remembrance Sunday to help the scouts appreciate why we remember the war dead and wounded each November. They travelled by train and visited the London Monument as it happened to be en route, then went over Tower Bridge to explore the HMS Belfast. Following Jenny's investiture on HMS Belfast they went to the Britain At War museum and then returned to the scout HQ to camp overnight in the field.
Panther Cubs travelled to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and then camped overnight inside the HQ.
Forest Beavers held a sleepover on the Friday based around a Second World War theme, with Beavers learning a little about life in that time.
Following a hearty breakfast the cubs and scouts then walked to St Andrews Church in the village to join Beavers and parishoners for a remembrance service and two minute silence and wreath laying at the war memorial.
