1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

Riverside Festival

With the Scout Group running the Climbing Wall, BBQ Stall and winning the Raft Race once again, this year's Riverside Festival definitely had lots of members, Leaders and the families of 1^st Stanstead Abbotts & St Margaret’s Scout Group really involved and joining in the fun at yet another hugely successful day.

Our two rafts did brilliantly in the raft race.  Four teams entered and it was very quickly a race for first and second between the Scout Group’s two teams.

The Young Leader team reached the halfway point first, but the Scout team caught them up on the return leg.  It was a close finish but the Scout team won the day!  Everyone was thrilled to win the trophy for the second year running and the Trophy will be returned to HQ once again.  Congratulations went to everyone in the teams and the crew of raft builders who lashed them together in the pouring rain the night before at ESSA.  A great team effort!
