1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

The Panther Pack Cubs spent an evening at the ESSA Sailing Lake near Roydon last week.  Pairs of Cubs set up, rigged and launched the small lazers dinghies on to the water before sailing happily off around the lake.

Thankfully the rain and thunderstorms had moved on, leaving the lake with just light winds.  With the ever helpful and friendly instructors from ESSA, and the team of Leaders, Young Leaders and Cub Pack Helpers on hand, everyone had a really great time on the water. 

Reports back claim that no one capsized - unlike some of the entertaining events at the recent Sausage and Splash Family Day at the lake!  In fact many of the Cubs looked very confident in their boats and were very happily navigating their way around each other and the lake.
