1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

12 Scouts competed at this year's Swimming Gala on Friday night achieving a very respectable 3rd place out of 11 teams. The two relay teams did particularly well, winning their heats with room to spare! A total of 20 Stanstead Abbotts Scouts were at the Gala representing the Group.

With teams of swimmers from all over the District competing in the Gala, the boys and girls had a fun night swimming and catching up with friends from the other Scout Groups.  Once the racing had finished everyone was invited to get into the water for a final fun swim!

With Peter Geer Trophy points also up for grabs for each attending swimmer and spectator, everyone who could was especially encouraged to come along and support their teams and join in the fun.

The Leaders celebrated with some shared chips for everyone in the park at the end of the evening.
