1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

The Forest and Woodland Colony Beavers joined together once again this year for a family bonfire night party at HQ with a BBQ, bonfire, campfire songs and games and, of course, a 'Best Guy' competition.

The Beavers had made some fantastic Guys and although Beaver Hayley was delighted to win 'Best Guy', none of the Beavers minded seeing their creations being thrown onto the bonfire. The Beavers seemed to really enjoy singing some of their favourite fun campfire songs, with actions of course, to their families who had been invited to come and enjoy the BBQ, fire and fun too.

Later on, once the Beavers had had their fun the Scouts arrived for their evening and to enjoy the bonfire and have some fun of their own. Some of the parents were somewhat surprised to find their Scouts soaking wet at the end of the evening, until the stories of the water fights and other fun and games came out. The smells of bonfires and burgers on soggy Scouts couldn't be missed as they made their way home at the end of the evening.
