1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

Under the watchful eye of their Leaders and adult Helpers the Beavers had some fun with some 'kitchen science'. 

The Beavers did some experiments to investigate how a sultana rises and falls in lemonade, how and why a balloon goes inside a bottle and of course the finale just had to be the famous and very effective experiment to see how bicarbonate of soda and vinegar react together!  (Usually with quite specactularly overflowing results!) 

They also sowed mustard and cress seeds which had been kindly donated by the Van Hage Garden Centre. The Beavers then wrote a 'thank you' to Van Hague and are hoping their seeds start sprouting soon.
