1st Stanstead Abbotts and St. Margaret's Scout Group

Being a weekend in early January, the Cubs and Leaders were treated to Gilwell's the very luxurious indoor accommodation in 'Branchet Lodge'.

The Cubs had lots of fun during their 'Battle of the Clans' games and activities, including a mini Highlands Games with each Clan having made their own Clan flags.  With a tour around Gilwell Park and lots of wide games, the Cubs had a great time exploring the UK's Scout Headquarters.  They had a go at cooking some pizza and shortbread in 'cardboard' ovens and then were treated to a traditional Burns Night Supper complete with haggis and speeches.  The Cubs then had a bit of a party with dancing and, of course, ending the night with Auld Lang Syne.
