On the contrary, writes Beaver Leader Lucy, the Beavers had a lovely walk down to the field (swishy - swashy, swishy swashy?) in the sunshine. Once they'd arrived at the field we stopped for a quick drink and then played some Easter themed team games.
The children were then let loose to find the matching half of their cardboard egg. (See photos in the Gallery) Once they had found it, which took a while for some, they were able to trade it in for a creme egg, which with the nice warm weather, all meant things got a bit messy and needed lots of baby wipes.
All the Beavers and their Leaders then had a snack around the campfire and joined in with the campfire songs. Then, we strolled back to 2nd Ware's HQ, taking in the sunshine and smelling the BBQ’s on the way. We got so carried away, we arrived back late!
