Jaguar Cubs Spy Camp
Posted on 7 July 2018
The Cubs (and leaders) had a fantastic time being spies in the woods at Tolmers Scout Camp for a weekend.
They built shelters to hide their secret codes, tested their torchlight Morse code deciphering, practiced their aim with air rifle shooting, learnt the countryside code through a mission impossible obstacle course and played lots of wide games like spy hunt and capture the codes.
All that on top of the usual skills learnt at Cub camp – tent pitching, saw use, cooking, pioneering, first aid and fire safety, all going towards their Outdoors Challenge Badge. Campfire songs and marshmallow toasting too of course!
The weekend was finished off on Sunday morning cooling down from the weekend’s hot weather with water wars.
