Forest Beavers take 1st place at Tug of War

Posted on 19 September 2017

Forest Beavers with their Tug of War TrophyOur Forest Beavers took first place in this year’s Ware and District Beaver Scouts’ Tug-of-War Competition, with our Woodland Beavers right behind them in second place!

Forest Beavers won every one of their pulls, so they were unbeaten in an afternoon of somewhat changeable weather.

With a total of 9 Beaver Colonies taking part from Scout Groups in the District, there were lots of girls and boys having a lot of fun pulling and competing against each other whilst being cheered on by a host of parents, carers and all their volunteer Leaders and Young Leaders.

Group Scout Leader Paul Stretch  commented: “We had a great turnout from all the girls and boys in both our Beaver Colonies all having a great day, which was great to see and, of course, some more points towards the District run Peter Geer competition for participation.

Well done to all our Beavers and their leaders.

Lots of photos from the day –
