Scouts seaside Summer Camp in Bournemouth
Posted on 28 August 2017
During the Summer break, 27 Scouts, 3 Young Leaders and 18 adults spent a week in Bournemouth for their Summer Camp.
The boys, girls and adults enjoyed a huge variety of activities, including sailing, hiking, paddle boarding, sea kayaking (around Old Harrys Rocks), beach time and trips to a water park, a fun theme park and a day on Brownsea Island to visit the birth place of Scouting. They were even treated to a fly past from the Red Arrows and a chance to watch the huge firework display on Bournemouth Beach.
With Tesco deliveries arriving almost daily, everyone took turns in laying tables, helping serve, clearing up, washing up and tidying the building while a team of adults produce huge quantities of delicious food to keep everyone happy and ready for all the activities.
For some this was a first camp away with the Scouts, but it was an adventure for everyone involved – adults and scouts alike.
These are just a selection of the many photos taken during the week. Please take a look at the videos on Facebook as well.
