St George’s Day Parade

Posted on 6 May 2017

Huge crowds lined the streets of Ware to watch 100s of girls and boys from Guiding and Scout Groups around the area take part in this year’s St George’s Day Parade.

Jonathan Kaye, Mayor of Ware and Liz Walker, Hertfordshire Scouts County Commissioner were both present to take the salute as the girls and boys made their way down the High Street to renew their Promises at The Priory.

We were very pleased to have 109 boys and girls taking part in this year’s parade accompanied by our teams of Young Leaders and adult volunteers.

The ceremony ended with the Ware and District Scouts ‘Peter Geer’ Trophy for participation being awarded to Hunsdon Scout Group.
